seriously though, even the last time i went to jamaica to live and work (from 98 to 99), i realized the colour thing was still powerful when it comes to interactions between the classes. and that nuff of the people who look to exploit it are dark-skinned jamaicans with a lickle money or power or both.

i have yet to watch any video re di cussing out an mi been following di story online...mi no interested eena di cussing out..fi real...mi wan fi know how a board no know di condition of a place it supervise...dem deh pon di board fi do juss dat...nuff meeting muss keep...u know how we r down dere....mi would love to see di minutes from a meeting..di expense account from preparations fi any meeting...r have tings changed from all dat....

more meetings r kept in Ja dan any odda place...neva see a group a people who lately love fi see dem quotes in di press...an wid all dem spend kipping all dem meetings, dem could use di money any likkle place it can do some ting..any bleeding ting

use to tink dat wid new age new time wud come a yaad but dere it is... </div></div>Many people get bly, but do not realize that they do. They think thagt they get the opportunities equal to their abilities. that is because they don't have any comparison to make it with. It is just like Me when I was growing up I use to think that the standard I am use to is the norm. So when someone fail to meet those I get mad. It is after trying to do things for other people over time I realize that it was really easier for me that it was for them.
At some stage I even use to protest being placed before others. Then I Realize that it was institutional. and then I realize that I did not know what I did not know. In the US I notice that being attractive also play favourites. I remember being invited to lots of movie extras. I also got lots of extra parts in commercials etc. But You have to be very close to others that really get the usual to realize what you are missing. I believe that with all the breaks he got, the life in Jamaica was so hard that he never got the opportunity to really compare his experiences with other Jamaican who are darker. So he may honestly believe that he got worse treatment than blacks, Because he is comparing treatment he get in the UK as against what he was use to,and assuming that blacks got better treatment, without the fortune of really knowing it first hand..much

She is a product of a society that doles out poor treatmnent to it's people. She never get really good trreament her self. That is why they fall in love with foreigners so easily. foreigners know it both ways and knowhow to use good treatment to get what they wanted. I Jamaica I an called 'de foreign dacta' simply because I am very patient with them. They can't believe that I am Jamaican. They are always complimenting me and comparing me. And I have to keep making excuse for the people who they berate because of their inter personal skills. It is reallylacking in Jamaica. I remember I decided tio teach psychology to some young people and they were amazed of the ability to be able to describe a person's life on the basis of their behavior. That is also not taught in real world situation. As a result people don't even learn the mechanics of the subject. They know the notes they write down on paper very well enough to get a pass.

The Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ) is urging the government to immediately implement measures to improve the care of vulnerable members of the society.

The NAJ's call comes in the wake of the publication of a damning report detailing the appalling living conditions of the inmates at the Port Antonio Infirmary in Portland.

The report became public on Thursday in the midst of a controversy involving State Minister for Local Government Robert Montague who was bashed by members of the public after he strongly reprimanded the Infirmary's Matron on Monday.

In a statement Friday, NAJ head Edith Allwood-Anderson said the general conditions at the nation's nursing homes, places of safety, children's homes and infirmaries are woefully inadequate and need urgent attention.

Mrs. Allwood-Anderson also joined the throng of voices condemning Mr Montague's public berating of the matron of the infirmary.

The NAJ head noted that though she understands Mr. Montague's exasperation with the conditions exposed at the infirmary, the verbal attack on the matron in such a public setting was unacceptable.

Mrs. Allwood-Anderson said this could only serve to sour the working relationship between the minister and the public servants he leads.

I couldn't take the bus. everybody would stop by the bus stop to give me a ride. They couldn't believe that I would voluntarily submit to such punishment. But I have the gift of a lot of sociological analysis of their behavior, so it gives me a different perspective from you.
